Cody Hanson

Club Director / Owner
Cody is a former teacher. He is married to his HS sweetheart, Christi. Together, they have two daughters, Celeste and Courtney as well as two dogs, Vader and Jace. 

Cody has coached multiple teams in the USAV GJNC as well as the AAU National Championships. His goals are always to create a great overall club VB experience for the players, families, and coaches. 

While he no longer coaches any particular team or age group, he loves working in practices with all of the different levels and age groups. This will be his 5th year as the owner of FW Fire VBC and 20th year coaching Volleyball.

Celeste Hanson
asst. club director

Celeste is the Head Varsity coach at Lake Country Christian School in Fort Worth. She has been coach club VB since she was 18 years old. She has coached several different age groups from 12u up to 16u. 

She is the very well rounded in her overall knowledge of the game and works with several players of varying ages and levels in her private and small group sessions.

Celeste is in charge of FW Fire's summer camps and clinics, Social Media content, as well as all of FW Fire's apparel and uniforms with New Balance. 
Alex Oppenborn

Recruiting Coordinator
Alex is the head VB coach and girls coordinator for Lake Worth HS. This will be her 7th season to coach with FW Fire VBC. Alex is very well rounded in her VB knowledge and has coached at all levels in the club world. She has coached teams in the AAU National Championships as well as Sister Cities in Italy, where her team won the event in the summer of 2023. 

Alex works with all of our recruitable athletes to provide a path in the recruiting process. She is also coaching our top 16u team this club season.
