Cody Hanson
Club Director / Owner Cody is a former teacher. He is married to his HS sweetheart, Christi. Together, they have two daughters, Celeste and Courtney as well as two dogs, Vader and Jace.
Cody has coached multiple teams in the USAV GJNC as well as the AAU National Championships. His goals are always to create a great overall club VB experience for the players, families, and coaches. While he no longer coaches any particular team or age group, he loves working in practices with all of the different levels and age groups. This will be his 5th year as the owner of FW Fire VBC and 20th year coaching Volleyball. |

Kenley Buckholt
SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR Kenley is the head varsity VB coach and girls coordinator at Azle HS. She has been coaching with FW Fire VBC since her senior year of HS. She is one of the original FW Fire coaches from when the club first opened.
Currently she coaches one of the 13u teams. She has had teams qualify for the USAV GJNC as well as taken teams to complete in the AAU National Championships. In addition to school and club VB she has played in and coached in the Sister Cities events in Italy, Winning this event in the summer of 2023. She serves as our Social Media Coordinator. All videos, pics, etc, are sent her way. |

Alex Oppenborn
Recruiting COORDINATOR Alex is the head VB coach and girls coordinator for Lake Worth HS. This will be her 7th season to coach with FW Fire VBC. Alex is very well rounded in her VB knowledge and has coached at all levels in the club world. She has coached teams in the AAU National Championships as well as Sister Cities in Italy, where her team won the event in the summer of 2023.
Alex works with all of our recruitable athletes to provide a path in the recruiting process. She is also coaching our top 16u team this club season. |
